Arium AE Architecture & Engineering Website Design

Integrated by Design

Arium AE is a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm offering integrated design services across the Mid-Atlantic region. Their in-house team of architects, engineers, and interior designers collaborate to deliver spaces that perform as beautifully as they look.

The Ask.

Arium AE’s website no longer reflected the sophistication or integration of their multidisciplinary practice. The outdated design and cumbersome backend made it difficult for the team to maintain content, and it failed to clearly communicate the value of Arium AE’s combined architecture, engineering, and interiors model.

The Answer.

We created a modern, easy-to-manage digital presence that elevates their brand, showcases their portfolio, and makes their integrated approach immediately clear to prospective clients.

The Goods.

  • Research & Discovery
  • Digital Strategy
  • Website Design
  • Website Development

Discovery & Research

We began the project by conducting an upfront discovery phase to better understand existing challenges, establish future goals, and create a strategic plan backed by research, not hunches.

Room for Improvement

We began with an audit of the existing site. Then we embarked upon stakeholder workshops, client interviews, and a competitive review. These conversations confirmed that prospective clients wanted to quickly see project examples and team credentials. At the same time, Arium AE’s marketing team needed a backend system that would allow them to keep the site fresh and aligned with their business development efforts.

Key Insights

Clients see Arium AE’s integrated architecture and engineering model as a true differentiator. They also rely heavily on portfolios and bios to build trust when choosing a partner. The previous site failed to highlight these proof points clearly, and its clunky backend made it nearly impossible for the team to manage content effectively.

Project Goals

The new site needed to deliver a modern design, empower staff with an intuitive content management system, and position the project portfolio as the centerpiece. It also had to make Arium AE’s integrated approach obvious and compelling, setting them apart in a competitive market.

Web Design & Development

With a strategy in place, we turned our attention execution phases of the project, consisting of design, development, testing, and launch.

Visualizing Their Integrated Model

We reimagined how Arium AE explains its combined architecture, engineering, and interiors services. Instead of dense text, we used clear messaging and streamlined visuals to show how these disciplines work together under one roof. This made it easier for prospective clients to quickly grasp Arium AE’s unique value and engage with the story.

Storytelling Through Projects

We designed the portfolio as the heart of the site. Detailed case study pages highlight both visuals and technical expertise, while a filterable system allows visitors to easily sort by project type.

Taking the New Look to the Web

Turning our attention to the website, we took inventory of existing content and technical features and then planned and designed a robust new user interface. The result is a stunning example of modern web design, providing Arium AE with a valuable marketing tool to meet their goals and grow their business.

Flexible and Easy to Manage

We built the site on WordPress with a modular content system. This allows the marketing team to add new projects, edit content, and publish news without needing outside help.

The Impact

Since launch, the new Arium AE website has become a true extension of its brand. Prospective clients can quickly validate the firm’s expertise and now easily understand the benefit of its integrated model. Meanwhile, the marketing team has the tools they need to manage content efficiently and keep the site aligned with ongoing growth.

The Result.

We have greatly enjoyed working with your team and look forward to continuing our partnership on potential future projects.
